About MEND
MEND Medical Apparel started with a simple frustration: hospital gowns are undignified, uncomfortable, and haven't changed in decades — thin paper-like fabric, gaping backs, and ties that never quite work.
This idea has roots that go back further than us. My father was a respiratory therapist on the Oregon Coast, and at one point ran five stores up and down the coast supplying oxygen concentrators, approved hospital walkers, canes, and other medical equipment. Behind the paperwork and the red tape, what he actually did — every day — was help people. We're carrying that forward.
We design recovery wear that actually feels good to wear. Soft cotton-merino blends, real zippers instead of fumbling closures, and styling you'd be comfortable wearing outside a hospital room — because a hospital stay should still be stylish and respectful, not just bearable.
